Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, choreographer and influencer Dhanashree Verma, have reportedly finalized their divorce. According to ABP News, the couple was scheduled to appear before the family court in Bandra, Mumbai, at 4 PM on Thursday (December 20) to complete the final legal proceedings and receive their official divorce certificate. The decision to part ways was reportedly made through mutual consent.
Amid the swirling divorce rumors, Chahal shared a cryptic post on Instagram, strengthening speculation about his personal life. On Thursday, February 20, he posted a reflective message: “God has protected me more times than I can count. So I can only imagine the times I’ve been rescued that I don’t even know about. Thank you, God, for always being there, even when I don’t know it. Amen.” While Chahal did not explicitly mention his divorce, the timing of the post has fueled further speculation.
Adding to the intrigue, Dhanashree also took to her Instagram Stories to share a cryptic message about faith and resilience. She wrote: “From stressed to blessed. Isn’t it amazing how God can turn our worries and trials into blessings? If you’re stressing about something today, know that you have a choice. You can either keep worrying, or you can surrender it all to God and choose to pray about everything. There is power in having faith that God can work all things together for your good.”
Neither Chahal nor Dhanashree has openly addressed any issues in their marriage. They have also refrained from commenting on the ongoing rumors. This is not the first time Chahal has shared a cryptic post—back in January 2025, he spoke about his hard work and character, subtly hinting at personal challenges. Meanwhile, Dhanashree had previously taken to Instagram to slam those engaging in character assassination amid their divorce speculation.
Chahal and Dhanashree tied the knot in December 2020 in a private ceremony in Gurgaon. Their love story began during the pandemic when Chahal, impressed by Dhanashree’s dance videos, reached out to her to learn dance. The couple quickly became social media favorites, frequently sharing glimpses of their journey together and even making TV appearances.
As of now, no official statement has been issued by either Chahal or Dhanashree regarding their reported divorce.
