NEW DELHI: Airbus has appointed Jurgen Westermeier (53) as MD and president for India and South Asia, effective Sept 1, 2025. Jurgen, currently EVP & chief procurement officer at Airbus, will succeed Remi Maillard, who will become EVP engineering for commercial aircraft and head of technology. In his new role, Jurgen will lead Airbus’ business in India and South Asia, across commercial aircraft, defence, space and helicopters.
