Vineet Kumar Singh says he is happy that the audience will no longer ask him 'Aapka naam kya hai?’ after the success of 'Chhaava'

Actor Vineet Kumar Singh recently shared the screen with Vicky Kaushal in Chhaava, portraying the role of Kavi Kalash, a close confidant of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, in the historical drama. The actor was showered with praise for his performance, and amidst the success, he shared an emotional note about his journey as an actor in the industry.
On Tuesday, Vineet took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his gratitude for the overwhelming recognition he has received, especially after facing a prolonged phase of professional struggle. “As an actor, the most important thing for me is to be part of stories that truly touch hearts. I have always aimed to choose stories that inspire or move you in ways you’ve never felt before. After Mukkabaaz, there was a phase when I had almost no work, but today, I am finally part of films that I am truly proud of. Chhaava is one of them, close to my heart and soul.”

He also expressed gratitude towards director Laxman Uttekar, producer Dinesh Vijan, and the casting director for placing their trust in him for such a significant role.
Vineet further shared, “Life teaches lessons in its own way—sometimes tough but always meaningful. A special thank you to all the actors, directors, and journalists who encouraged me, praised my work, and gave me a reason to work harder and never give up despite my mistakes and struggles.”

He also conveyed heartfelt thanks to those who supported him through his difficult times, expressing how deeply the audience’s appreciation touches him: “To my audience, your messages on Instagram and other social media platforms always fill me with immense gratitude and emotion. After Chhaava, I am positive that the audience who watched my earlier work and loved it will no longer surprise me in person with the sweet question, ‘Sir, if you don’t mind… AAPKA NAAM KYA HAI?’”
He concluded his note by emphasising the strength he derives from his supporters. “Your love has been my greatest strength. Even when I lost my way, there were people who understood that I am just an actor determined to do good films—nothing more.”
He also took a moment to extend his appreciation to his Chhaava co-stars, including Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna, for being part of the journey.
