Vicky Kaushal, who is busy celebrating Chhaava‘s success, visited Raigad Fort on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti. Portraying Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the historical drama, he paid tribute to the Maratha warrior and shared moments from the visit on social media.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Vicky shared photos in which he is seen wearing ethnic wear and sporting a turban. “Today on the occasion of #ChhatrapatiShivajiJayanti, I had the good fortune of paying my respects at #RaigadFort. It was my first time here and there couldn’t have been a better time to come and take blessings from Maharaj. आप सभी को छत्रपति शिवाजी जयंती की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ! जय जिजाऊ, जय शिवराय, जय शंभू |” read the caption.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis praised Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava for staying true to history without changing facts. The film is getting great reviews and doing well at the box office. The Mumbai Dabbawala Association and FWICE have requested the CM to make the film tax-free in Maharashtra.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava is a historical drama about Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Vicky Kaushal plays the lead role, while Rashmika Mandanna portrays his wife, Yesubai Bhonsale. The film also features Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta in important roles.
