Urvashi Rautela's scenes in 'Daaku Maharaaj's OTT version remain intact: Report

A lot of reports were circulating on the internet about the alleged removal of Urvashi Rautela’s scenes from the OTT version of ‘Daaku Maharaaj‘. However, new reports suggest that her sequences remain untouched in the film’s digital release. In recent days, social media buzzed with claims that the film’s streaming version had excluded Rautela’s parts.
According to India Today, the ongoing rumours about Urvashi’s scenes are baseless. A trusted industry insider revealed that the OTT platform has streamed the unaltered theatrical cut. The insider also shared that the news is unfounded and was spread as a publicity stunt by an actress associated with the movie. It was hinted that the rumour mill was likely fuelled by a female actor from the project seeking attention through this controversy.

‘Daaku Maharaaj’, directed by KS Ravindra and starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, will make its Netflix debut on February 21 after a successful theatrical run. Officials confirm that the streaming version remains identical to its big-screen counterpart.

Work mode on! Urvashi Rautela drops a video of her script reading session; says, ‘Regular practice puts us into…’

Neither the leading OTT platform nor Urvashi Rautela has issued an official statement addressing the controversy.
The OTT platform took to its social media handles to release the official posters of the movie, prominently featuring Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, and Shraddha Srinath alongside Balakrishna, while Rautela’s presence was less highlighted. Amid mounting criticism, the OTT platform responded by sharing additional character slides, prominently including Rautela’s image twice.
While Rautela appears in the trailer recently shared on the OTT platform’s YouTube channel, her name remains absent from the platform’s ‘about’ section for Daaku Maharaaj. The actress had been one of the film’s most vocal promoters until her involvement in the campaign took a controversial turn following insensitive remarks about actor Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing incident.
‘Daaku Maharaaj’ had a strong theatrical run, grossing over Rs 156 crore worldwide since its release on January 12.
