‘Time traveler’ sparks frenzy with 2025 doomsday predictions: Civil war, alien invasion, and a monster from the deep
The self-proclaimed time traveler, Elvis Thompson, took to Instagram on January 1, delivering a chilling message.

A man claiming to have traveled to the future has ignited a storm of speculation online with his bold predictions for the year 2025. The self-proclaimed time traveler, Elvis Thompson (@elvis.thompson.927), took to Instagram on January 1, delivering a chilling message: the world is on the brink of catastrophe, and he has seen it all unfold.
In a video that has since gone viral, Thompson listed five apocalyptic events set to occur within the next year—each more outlandish than the last. His first prediction warns of a record-breaking tornado on April 6, tearing through Oklahoma with a staggering width of 24 kilometers and wind speeds exceeding 1,046 km/h. Such a storm would dwarf anything in recorded history, leaving destruction beyond comprehension.
But the chaos doesn’t stop with nature’s wrath. On May 27, Thompson claims, America will spiral into a second civil war, leading to the secession of Texas. This internal strife, he warns, will escalate into a nuclear conflict, reducing the United States to ruins and setting off a global crisis.
Then, his vision takes a turn from terrifying to downright otherworldly. On September 1, Thompson insists, an extraterrestrial being named Champion will make contact with Earth, offering salvation to a select 12,000 humans by transporting them to another planet. Yet, he also warns of a second, hostile alien race with darker intentions—though he offers no specifics on their plans.
As if the year couldn’t get any stranger, Thompson predicts that on September 19, a monstrous storm will pummel America’s east coast. And in one final revelation, he claims that on November 3, the largest sea creature ever discovered—six times bigger than a blue whale—will emerge from the Pacific Ocean, a behemoth he calls Serene Crown.
With over 20 million views and counting, the video has captivated audiences worldwide. Some have met his claims with nervous curiosity, while others have ridiculed them. “If you’re really from the future, why didn’t you bring next week’s lottery numbers?” one user quipped. Another jokingly threatened legal action if the so-called time traveler’s predictions fail to materialize.
Despite the skepticism, Thompson remains steadfast. “You don’t have to believe me,” he states in his video, “but remember these dates. When the events begin, it will be too late.”
So, is Elvis Thompson a true messenger from the future—or just the latest in a long line of internet hoaxers? Only time will tell.
