Samay Rain to receive second summons from Maharashtra Cyber Department

The Maharashtra Cyber Department will issue the comedian and YouTuber Samay Raina the second summons regarding the controversial statements made on his edgy reality talent show, ‘India’s Got Latent‘.
According to ANI, after Raina could not attend the statement recording session on February 18, the department said they would issue a summons by today. Earlier, Samay requested to give the official statement through video conference as he is touring his comedy special in the USA, and Canada, and won’t be returning till March 17. However, The Maharashtra Cyber Cell denied the request and asked him to be present physically.
On February 18, the Supreme Court’s Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiwar voiced their concerns over Ranveer Allahbadia‘s comments, stating that the remarks were ‘perverted and dirty’, condemning the act on the famous reality show. Regarding the inappropriate content on social media platforms, Justice Surya Kant urged the government to take action.
The court has issued a warning against the influencer, Ranveer Allahbadia to not take society for granted, suggesting to not make ill statements at all. In the cases of multiple FIRs, Allahbadia has requested the court to club all the charges that are pressed against him.
The complaints have been filed against a few of the judges from the panel of the particular episode which includes Apoorva Makhija, Samay Raina, and the controversial Ranveer Allahbadia, with the other individuals who have contributed to the show.
The inappropriate, and vulgar statement caused outrage on social media platforms, leading to the comedian deleting all the episodes of the show from YouTube while stating, “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all ‘India’s Got Latent’ videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you.”
