Rishab Shetty's first look as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in 'The Pride of Bharat' revealed on the account of Shivjayanti

Kannada director actor Rishab Shetty will be portraying the legendary warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the upcoming film “The Pride of Bharat,” directed by Sandeep Singh. The first look of the film was unveiled recently, coinciding with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s 395th birth anniversary.
The first-look posters of Rishab Shetty dressed in royal attire was released by the director. In the poster he is seem standing before a grand idol of a goddess, the visuals exude power and bravery, perfectly capturing the essence of Shivaji Maharaj’s legacy. Director Sandeep Singh expressed his enthusiasm for the project.
Sandeep stated that the film aims to honor a ruler who profoundly impacted Indian history. He referred to Shivaji Maharaj as a transformative figure whose actions changed the destiny of an entire continent.
On X (formerly Twitter), He wrote, “On the 395th Birth Anniversary of the greatest warrior king, #ThePrideOfBharat #ChhatrapatiShivajiMaharaj, we proudly present the first look, showcasing the strength and devotion of the legendary king who changed the destiny of the entire continent. It’s a supreme honor to bring his extraordinary Saga of Bravery, Honor and Swarajya to life with an exceptional team. Conquering cinemas worldwide on 21st January 2027!”

The film is set to hit theatres on January 21, 2027, and it is touted to be an epic saga filled with themes of bravery and honor.
On the work front, Rishab Shetty has several other projects lined up. He will star as Lord Hanuman in Prashanth Varma‘s film ‘Jai Hanuman,’ which is a sequel to his hit superhero movie ‘HanuMan.’ Furthermore, he is directing and starring in ‘Kantara: Chapter 1,’ a prequel to his successful film ‘Kantara,’ which is also set for release later this year on October 2, 2025.
