Priyanka Chopra to resume shooting for 'SSMB29' after attending Siddharth Chopra’s wedding; lands at Hyderabad airport

After a brief break from her brother Siddharth Chopra’s wedding celebrations, global star Priyanka Chopra is back on the sets of SS Rajamouli‘s highly anticipated film, ‘SSMB29‘. The busy actress, who was recently in Mumbai for the grand festivities, has now resumed filming alongside Mahesh Babu in Hyderabad. To confirm her return, Priyanka shared a picture from her arrival at the Hyderabad airport, delighting fans with an update about her involvement in the project. Her commitment to balancing both professional and personal milestones reflects her dedication to cinema.
Directed by the visionary SS Rajamouli, ‘SSMB29’ marks Priyanka’s first collaboration with the ace filmmaker. The film is touted to be an ambitious global action adventure, with Mahesh Babu leading the project in what is expected to be a career-defining role. The buzz surrounding the film has only intensified with reports suggesting that Priyanka is charging a whopping Rs 30 crore for her role, making her the highest-paid actress in a Rajamouli film. This surpasses the previous salaries of Alia Bhatt, who reportedly earned Rs 9 crore for ‘RRR’, and Anushka Shetty, who was paid Rs 5 crore for ‘Baahubali’.
With secrecy being a top priority, Rajamouli has implemented stringent non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) for the cast and crew, alongside a strict no-phone policy on set. While shooting is currently underway in Hyderabad, key portions of the film are expected to be shot in the dense forests of Kenya, enhancing the film’s international appeal.
The full-scale production of ‘SSMB29’ is set to commence in April 2025, with filming expected to extend until late 2026. Industry sources speculate that the film may hit theaters in either 2027 or 2029, promising a groundbreaking cinematic experience. Fans are eagerly awaiting further updates on this ambitious project.
