NEW DELHI: India’s golden boy Neeraj Chopra achieved a long-awaited milestone at the Doha Diamond League 2025, becoming the first Indian ever to breach the 90-metre barrier in international javelin competition. With a thunderous throw of 90.23 metres, Chopra not only rewrote his personal and national record but also cemented his place in Indian athletics history.While Chopra finished second behind Germany’s Julian Weber, who threw an impressive 91.06 metres, the moment was still historic for Indian sports.
