Kevin Spacey SLAMS Guy Pearce over claims that he was 'targeted'; says 'You are not a victim' - WATCH

Actor Kevin Spacey has strongly denied the allegations made by actor Guy Pearce, who claimed that Spacey was “targeted” on the set of the 1997 film LA Confidential. In a viral video on his social media handle, Spacey dismissed Pearce’s claims and asked him to “grow up.”
Over the weekend, ‘The Brutalist‘ star made headlines when he reflected on the impact of the #MeToo movement in 2017, and described it as a “wake-up call.” Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, he alleged that Spacey had singled him out during filming. Opening up about the multiple allegations of misconduct against Spacey, he shared, “I heard [the reports] and I broke down and sobbed.”
Addressing the star’s allegations against him, Spacey countered that Pearce never approached him about the issue directly. “If I did something then that upset you, you could have reached out to me. Instead, you chose to speak to the press,” he remarked and added, “You really want to know what my response is? Grow up.”
Spacey also recalled that Pearce had visited him in Georgia a year after the filming of ‘LA Confidential’ while he was filming ‘Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil‘. “Did you tell the press that too, or does that not fit into the victim narrative you have going?” he asked.
Pearce in his chat, hesitated to label himself a victim, however, he admitted that he may have been affected to some degree, albeit not to the extent of others who had faced more severe incidents of abuse.
Kevin went on to apologise to the Oscar-nominated actor and claimed that he ‘led him on’. He said, “I apologise that I didn’t get the message that you don’t like spending time with me. Maybe there was another reason. I don’t know. But, that doesn’t make any sense that you would have just been leading me on, right?”
Concluding his statement, Spacey offered to discuss the matter directly with Pearce, even proposing a live conversation on social media platform X. “You want to have a conversation? I’m happy to do so, anytime, anyplace. But Guy — you need to grow up. You are not a victim.”
