MUMBAI: In some good news for Sunrisers Hyderabad, India allrounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has fully recovered from a side strain and will join their camp on Sunday, TOI has learnt.
“Yes, Nitish Kumar Reddy is now fit again, having recovered from a side strain. He cleared the yo-yo test at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru today morning with a score of 18.1,” a source said.
The Sunrisers’ first match in IPL-2025 will be on March 23 (Sunday) against Rajasthan Royals — a 3.30 pm encounter at Hyderabad.
Nitish, who scored a hundred against Australia in the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar series, was ruled out of the final three T20Is against England at home due to a side strain.
The 21-year-old has been out of action since.
