India now a factory hub, trusted partner of global supply chain, says PM Modi

NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi Saturday said nobody needs to make up things to fetch good publicity for India as the country is getting global attention by creating new records that by themselves generate positive coverage.
“Today the world is looking at 21st century India, people from all over the world want to come to India, want to know India. There is no need to manufacture news, where new records are being made every day, something new is happening,” PM Modi said at a conclave organised by ITV Network, adding, “Just a few months ago, India conducted the world’s largest elections. After 60 years, it happened that a government in India has returned to power for the third consecutive time. The basis of this public trust are India’s many achievements in the last 11 years…”
PM Modi also cited the recently concluded Maha Kumbh as an example of the country’s capability to organise large events. “The world is surprised how in a temporary city, a temporary arrangement, crores of people came to the banks of the river, travelled hundreds of kilometres and were filled with emotions after taking a holy dip. Today the world is seeing India’s organising and innovating skills,” said PM Modi.
“We are manufacturing everything from semiconductors to aircraft carriers right here. The world wants to know about this success of India in detail,” the PM said. He said India has emerged as a factory of the world and is becoming a reliable and trusted partner of the global supply chain. “For decades, the world used to call India its back office. But today, it is becoming the new factory of the world. We are not just a workforce now, but a world-force! He said India is creating solutions that are affordable, accessible, & adaptable, and offering these to the world without gatekeeping.
