Hina Khan says she is inspired by Sanjay Dutt's battle with cancer: 'What a man, what power'

Hina Khan, diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer last year, has remained strong and optimistic throughout her treatment. She continues to document her journey, inspiring many and raising awareness. Recently, she praised Sanjay Dutt for his resilience in battling cancer, sharing a video of him discussing his fight against stage 4 lung cancer, diagnosed in August 2020.
Hina wrote a heartfelt appreciation note for Sanjay Dutt, expressing how his journey inspires her. She wrote, ‘What a Man, What Power and What Determination. This is the first time I am seeing this clip, what a courageous man, what an inspiration.’

Sanjay Dutt made a remarkable recovery, being declared cancer-free just three months after his diagnosis. In the video, he reflected on his journey, acknowledging the difficulty of hearing he had stage 4 cancer. He shared how he defied medical expectations, staying resilient through chemotherapy and overcoming challenges faster than predicted.

He further stressed the need for a strong mindset during diagnosis, highlighting that willpower plays a crucial role alongside medical treatment.
Sanjay Dutt’s powerful words deeply resonated with Hina Khan. She shared that she is following a similar approach in her battle against cancer. She wrote, ‘I absolutely agree and practice it myself too. This is what I believe in, this is exactly how I chose to Live My Life during my Chemotherapy. I resonate with every Word he’s saying. It’s never easy to push yourself when the entire world seems to be pulling you to the other side. But I chose this just like him, unknowingly yet I did.’
The actress further emphasised that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to chemotherapy. She pointed out that even individuals on the same treatment can have vastly different experiences. While some may find it manageable, for others, it can be an incredibly painful journey.
