Conservative commentator Laura Loomer intensified her criticism of Ashley St. Clair, alleging that the influencer had been plotting to “trap” Elon Musk from the moment she gave birth. St. Clair recently filed a paternity lawsuit against Musk, claiming he fathered her five-month-old child, but Loomer suggests there’s a deeper scheme at play.
Taking to X, Loomer pointed out that St. Clair appeared to have taken screenshots of Musk’s encrypted Signal messages while lying in a hospital bed shortly after giving birth. She noted that the texture of the sheet in the leaked messages matches the one seen in a photo of St. Clair holding her baby.
“Was she already plotting to trap him and set him up from the moment she gave birth?” Loomer questioned. “Why would she be focused on taking pics of her messages from him from the hospital bed instead of being focused on holding her new baby? This gets more and more sinister.”
Loomer also accused St. Clair of using a second phone to circumvent Signal’s security features, which notify users when a screenshot is taken. “Ashley wanted ‘privacy,’ but she took screenshots of Elon’s private Signal messages that were on a timer to expire. How long was she planning her attack on Elon?” she wrote.

The controversy erupted after St. Clair’s lawsuit, filed in the New York Supreme Court, demanded sole custody of her alleged child with Musk and requested a court-ordered DNA test to confirm paternity. She claims the child was conceived during a January 2024 trip to St. Barths.
Musk has not directly responded to the lawsuit, but he reacted to a post alleging that St. Clair had “plotted for half a decade to ensnare” him with a single-word reply: “Whoa.”
