Drunken fan rips screen at Vicky Kaushal starrer 'Chhaava' screening in Bharuch, Gujarat - WATCH video

A drunk man was arrested in a cinema hall in Gujarat’s Bharuch after he tore the screen while the film Chhaava was playing. Videos of the incident, which have been circulating on social media, show the man damaging the big screen during the screening.

The incident occurred at RK Cinemas in Bharuch on Sunday night. During a late-night show of Chhaava, the accused, Jayesh Vasava, climbed onto the podium and used a fire extinguisher to rip the screen. Theatre staff intervened and restrained him before further damage could be done.
The Chhaava screenings have seen some unusual fan behavior. Earlier this week, a viral video showed a man arriving at a theater on horseback, dressed as the film’s lead character. This event, along with the earlier screen vandalism incident, highlights the intense reactions the film has sparked among its viewers.

Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, depicts the Maratha ruler’s journey, beginning with his 1681 coronation. The cast also includes Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandana. However, the film faced controversy over a dance sequence featuring Sambhaji Maharaj performing the Lezim, which was removed after objections from political figures like Maharashtra Minister Uday Samant.
