'You like Bobby, right': Did Donald Trump interrupt Elon Musk during joint interview?
Donald Trump abruptly asked Elon Musk about RFK Jr when Musk was talking about Neuralink.

President Donald Trump and DOGE chief Elon Musk appeared for a joint interview on Fox News which was aired on Tuesday night giving many a sneak-peak into the chemistry that they share. One particular video is doing the rounds where Elon Musk is talking about Neuralink but Donald Trump apparently interrupted him asking him about his opinion about RFK Jr, the new health secretary of his administration. Social media users wondered what was the connection between Neuralink and Kennedy Jr or whether Donald Trump was trying to interrupt Elon Musk or whether there was a continuous power struggle between Trump and Musk during the interview though they had only good words for each other.
“The next step would be to add a second implant past the point where these — the neuron is damaged so someone can walk again. They can have full body functionality restored and…” Musk was speaking about Neuralink. “And you like Bobby right?” Donald Trump said.
“I like Bobby… I think he’s unfairly maligned as someone who is anti-science. But I think he isn’t. He just wants to question the science, which is the essence of the science,” Musk said without batting an eyelid. Social media users commented that probably Trump thought Neuralink could cure RFK Jr’s brain worm, or Trump was lost when Elon Musk was droning on about Neuralink. Some thought Donald Trump understood that Elon Musk was getting too weird, too technical and Donald Trump brought him back to the track.
“We need Trump to release his cognitive tests. Imagine if this were Kamala and Joe Biden,” one wrote hinting that Donald Trump was not coherent.

‘I wanted to find somebody smarter than him’

During the interview, Donald Trump said he wanted to find somebody smarter than Elon Musk to head DOGE — implying that there is no smarter person that Elon Musk. “I searched all over. I just couldn’t do it,” he added. “I couldn’t. I really tried hard. I couldn’t find anyone smarter.”
Elon Musk was reservedly elated as he said: “Well, thanks for having me. I’m just trying to be useful.”
Elon Musk during the interview said he just loves the president as he revealed either on several occasions. “I have spent a lot of time with the president, and not once have I seen him do something that was mean or cruel or wrong. Not once,” Musk claimed. Trump said Elon Musk is a leader and Trump wanted someone really smart to work with him in terms of the country. “I wanted great people. And he’s a great person. He’s an amazing person. He’s also a caring person,” Trump said.
“If there’s a conflict, he won’t be involved,” Trump declared. “I mean, I wouldn’t want that, and he wouldn’t want it.”
