Ranveer Allahbadia, the famous YouTuber and podcaster has been under fire owing to his controversial remark on ‘India’s Got Latent.’ His provocative ‘Would you rather’ question led to online trolling, backlash, and multiple complaints, and FIRs were filed against the YouTuber. As the online furry sparked, Ranveer shared a public apology. However, one of the audience members from ‘India’s Got Latent,’ who was present at the episode that outsparked the whole row, said that Ranveer directly in person apologized to the contestant right after his controversial remark.
According to Mohit Khubani, a video creator, who claims to be an audience member on the said episode, revealed that Ranveer Allahbadia said sorry not once but multiple times immediately after his remark. Mohit added that Ranveer was constantly checking if the contestant was comfortable with the comment made.
“The contestant came, Ranveer made the joke. Immediately after, he apologized three to four times, asking, ‘Hope you didn’t feel bad’,” said Mohit.
He revealed all this through a social media video, and in the caption he mentioned, “I know this is not my regular content, but I wanted people to know what exactly happened in that episode. I don’t want my favourite creators getting hate for no reason because half of the people don’t even know what happened in that episode like they make sure that kid was comfortable while they make jokes.”
He continued, that as the contestant won the competition, Ranveer Allahbadia even hugged him, and Samay appreciated him.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Allahbadia had his Supreme Court plea hearing on Tuesday. The court condemned his joke by saying, “If this is not obscene, then what is? Just because you are popular, you cannot take society for granted.” The YouTuber has been barred from participating in such shows for now.
