Apoorva Makhija receives death threats amidst Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina controversy on 'India's Got Latent'

Social media influencer Apoorva Makhija was part of the India’s Got Latent panel when Ranveer Allahbadia asked a contestant a controversial question about parental sex. While Ranveer is facing backlash for his remark, reports now suggest that Makhija is also receiving hate on social media.
According to The Free Press Journal, Apoorva Mukhija, known as The Rebel Kid on Instagram, has been receiving death, sexual assault and harassment threats online. Recently, her friend Rida Tharana called out the hateful remarks in an Instagram story.
“I’ve never doubted that some people hate women simply for being women just for breathing, existing, loving themselves, and daring to grow. A woman could have the same issue as anyone else, but the fact that she’s a woman always makes it worse. How do you ever feel safe when you’re constantly threatened, scared for your life, and living in a country that was supposed to protect you?” she wrote.
“It’s so unfair, the hate and cruelty she’s being put through. I just hope none of you ever have to experience what she’s going through,” Rida stated.
Apoorva Mukhija is facing an FIR and was questioned by the police earlier this week. She was spotted at the Khar police station.
On the other hand, Ranveer Allahbadia has apologised for his comment, and Samay Raina has deleted all India’s Got Latent episodes from YouTube.
