Amitabh Bachchan’s shout out for 'Sanam Teri Kasam' leaves Harshvardhan Rane overwhelmed

Sanam Teri Kasam‘ is experiencing a surprising revival after its re-release, even without promotions. Once a box office failure, the film is now winning hearts. Adding to the excitement, Amitabh Bachchan sent his best wishes, leaving Harshvardhan Rane thrilled.
The actor shared his excitement on Instagram after receiving the legendary star’s acknowledgment. He wrote, “BACHCHAN SAAB. First GOD noticed, and now Sir YOU noticed.” Amitabh Bachchan shared the film’s poster and wrote, “All good wishes for this re release …”
Directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, Sanam Teri Kasam is making waves at the box office, beating new releases Loveyapa and Badass Ravi Kumar. Starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, the film earned over ₹26 crore in its first week, far surpassing its original 2016 earnings of ₹8 crore in India.
In a recent interview with Filmygyan, directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru reacted to fans’ suggestions about casting Salman Khan in the Sanam Teri Kasam sequel. Radhika expressed hope, saying, “Arey yaar, aapke munh mein ghee shakkar, but vo apni destiny ke maalik hain” (May it happen as you say, but he is the master of his own destiny). Vinay Sapru added, “Please, aap hi unhe bata dijiye. Unhe ye clip tag karke sir ko bheja jaye. Salman sir, please okay boliye.”
In addition, when directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru hinted about the film’s sequel, producer Deepak Mukut said in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, “The IP of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ belongs to me since I am its producer. So, the rights to make a sequel or even a prequel or a remake rests with me. In fact, I announced the sequel in September 2024 with Harshvardhan Rane in the lead..As for the directors (Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru), I haven’t had any discussion with them. They haven’t met and spoken to me about it. I have not finalized any director.”
