After freezing military aid, US pauses intelligence sharing with Ukraine

In another blow to Ukraine, the United States on Wednesday decided to “pause” intelligence sharing with the war-torn nation following the move to halt military aid. This comes after the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his US counterpart Donald Trump had a public fallout at the White House during peace talks.
“President Trump had a real question about whether President Zelenskyy was committed to the peace process,” CIA director John Ratcliffe told Fox News.
He added that the pause “on the military front and the intelligence front” was not permanent and the States would “work shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine” again.

Zelenskyy on Tuesday reiterated his commitment to work towards peace and said that Ukraine was ready to sign the minerals agreement. He also expressed regret towards the way his meeting with Trump turned out and expressed gratitude towards the Americans again.
“We do really value how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence. And we remember the moment when things changed when President Trump provided Ukraine with Javelins. We are grateful for this,” he said.
Trump appreciated the letter sent by Zelenskyy expressing the willingness negotiate peace. “I appreciate that he sent this letter. Just got it a little while ago,” Trump said.
