Suniel Shetty reveals Athiya and KL Rahul will welcome their first baby in April: 'She’s looking the most beautiful...'

Actor Suniel Shetty is overjoyed as he eagerly awaits the arrival of his first grandchild, as his daughter Athiya Shetty and her husband, cricketer KL Rahul, announced their pregnancy in November last year.
In a candid chat with Chanda Kochhar on her podcast, Suniel shared that the couple is set to welcome their baby in April 2025. When asked about conversations at the Shetty family dinner table, Suniel revealed that the only topic they discuss now is his grandchild. He stated, “Right now, probably the grandchild. There’s no other conversation, and we don’t want any other conversation. We’re just looking forward (to meeting the grandchild) in April.”

The veteran actor also expressed admiration for his daughter during this special phase, saying he believes Athiya looks her most radiant now. “Everything revolves around the baby; whether it’s a boy or a girl, nothing matters. I always thought Mana (Suniel’s wife) looked the most beautiful when she was pregnant. I see Athiya, and she’s looking the most beautiful.”
The Mohra actor had previously expressed his excitement about becoming a grandfather. During an appearance on Dance Deewane in April last year, he playfully embraced the idea of his new role. When host Bharti Singh jokingly asked how he would be as a grandfather, he humorously replied that in the next season, he would walk onto the stage like a ‘nana.’
Athiya, known for her roles in films like ‘Hero’, ‘Mubarakan’, and ‘Motichoor Chaknachoor’, tied the knot with Indian cricketer KL Rahul in January 2023 after a long-term relationship.
