Meltdown over 'desi' Vivek after Elon Musk endorses Ramaswamy for Ohio Governor: 'This is America first?'
Social media saw a meltdown after Vivek Ramaswamy got endorsement from Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

After President Donald Trump and Department of Government Efficiency chief Elon Musk endorsed Vivek Ramaswamy for the Ohio Governor bid that Ramaswamy announced Monday, a social media meltdown followed over whether this is America first. The announcement came days after Ramaswant exited DOGE triggering speculations that there was a power struggle between Elon Musk and Ramaswamy. But now Musk has wholeheartedly given his full endorsement to Vivek. “Good luck, you have my full endorsement!” Musk responded to Ramaswamy in a post on X.
President Donald Trump in his endorsement said. “VIVEK RAMASWAMY is running for Governor of the Great State of Ohio. I know him well, competed against him, and he is something SPECIAL.”
“He’s Young, Strong, and Smart! Vivek is also a very good person, who truly loves our Country,” Trump said. “He will be a GREAT Governor of Ohio, will never let you down, and has my COMPLETE AND TOTAL ENDORSEMENT!”
Vivek Ramaswamy is a pro-H1B voice who is proud of his Indian origin. During the H-1B row, he explained why he supports US companies hiring immigrant talent instead of US talent. He also criticized American culture for furthering mediocrity.
Ramaswamy’s long rant against the US culture drew the ire of several Americans and according to reports even Elon Musk did not like it and that apparently started the strife between the two leading to Ramaswamy’s exit from DOGE.

What Vivek Ramaswamy said about ‘America First’

Vivek Ramaswamy is well aware of the fact that his Indian roots are seen in conflict with America first which he espouses. When Ramaswamy was the presidential candidate, writer Ann Coulter said she would never vote for Vivek Ramaswamy because he is an Indian.
Ramaswamy openly took the criticism and said America First means America in the first place. “America First means we want America to WIN. Playing for second place doesn’t cut it,” he said earlier.
