Donald Trump wants Elon Musk to be 'more aggressive'. Explains why
Donald Trump said he wants Elon Musk to be more aggressive.

Amid unending speculation over the working equation between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, the president Saturday suddenly spoke out about Musk and said he wants Elon Musk to be more aggressive. “Elon is doing a great job, but I would like to see him get more aggressive. Remember, we have a country to save, but ultimately, to make greater than ever before. MAGA!” Donald Trump posted on Truth Social.
Elon Musk has been called ‘President Musk’ for his overarching influence in the government as the chief of the newly founded Department of Government Efficiency which is tasked to save the federal government’s money. For this, Musk proposed dismantling the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the Education Department while all other departments are on the radar. On Elon Musk’s advice, the Trump administration offered buyouts to many federal employees who will receive their pay through September but they have to resign now and 75,000 government employees already accepted the offer.
DOGE’s action invited lawsuits while the DOGE employees, their past social media comments, their experience or the lack of it, their age — everything has been under scrutiny.
Donald Trump consistently defended Musk and said he’s doing a great job and he’s doing something from which he has nothing to gain. Trump also praised the DOGE team and said all the young men working there have very high IQ. Trump repeatedly asserted that there is no conflict of interest as Elon Musk has abided by all the federal rules and if there is any, Elon Musk will not be allowed to deal with that.

What is Elon Musk’s role in the administration officially?

The White House recently said Elon Musk isn’t technically running the DOGE. “He is not an employee of the U.S. DOGE Service or US DOGE Service Temporary Organization. Mr Musk is not the US DOGE Service administrator,” White House official Joshua Fisher said in court papers to emphasize that there has been no violation by Elon Musk or the administration. However, Trump contradicted the legal team and said he put Elon Musk in charge of DOGE.
