3 BSF jawans injured in clash with intruders at Indo-Bangladesh border

At least three Border Security Force (BSF) jawans were injured in a violent clash at the Indo-Bangladesh border in Tripura on Friday.
The incident occurred at Tripura’s Sepahijala district when 20-25 Bangladeshi intruders entered the Indian territory near Border Pillar 2050/7-S.
According to officials, the intruders were allegedly involved in smuggling and had links with Indian miscreants. A patrolling team of the BSF intercepted them, but instead of retreating, the intruders launched a violent attack.
Some of the intruders even attempted to snatch weapons from the BSF personnel as the situation escalated. A BSF jawan fired a non-lethal round from a Pump Action Gun (PAG) to control the situation and protect himself. One Bangladeshi national was also injured in the skirmish.
The injured jawans and the Bangladeshi intruder were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Their condition is currently stable, and further investigations are under way to identify and take action against those involved in the border intrusion.
In another unrelated incident, Mumbai Police carried out a large-scale operation on Monday under the orders of deputy commissioner of police Praveen Mundhe, reported news agency ANI.
Raids were conducted in Mankhurd, Vashi Naka, Kalamboli, Panvel, Kopri Thane, Kalyan, and Mumbra, leading to the detention of 16 Bangladeshi nationals for illegal entry.
