NEW DELHI: Yuzvendra Chahal produced a sensational spell of leg-spin to help Punjab Kings pull off the greatest heist in IPL history, defending a record-low total of 111 to beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 16 runs at Mullanpur on Tuesday.
Chahal returned figures of 4/28 as Kolkata, cruising at 62/2 in their chase, collapsed to 95 all out in 15.1 overs. The win lifted Punjab to fourth in the points table with four wins from six matches.

KKR looked in control with a 55-run third-wicket stand between Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi before Chahal trapped Rahane lbw and dismissed Raghuvanshi in the next over. He then dismissed Rinku Singh and Ramandeep Singh off successive balls to rattle the middle order.
Who’s that IPL player?
Andre Russell threatened briefly with two sixes and a four off Chahal, but Marco Jansen bowled him to seal a dramatic win. Arshdeep Singh and Jansen claimed key late wickets as Punjab celebrated wildly.
Earlier, Punjab had slumped to 111 in 15.3 overs despite a quick start from Priyansh Arya (22) and Prabhsimran Singh (30). Harshit Rana (3/25), Varun Chakravarthy (2/21) and Sunil Narine (2/14) dominated the innings before Punjab’s bowlers turned the tables in one of IPL’s greatest upsets.
