In the past, Dhanashree had shared insights into their relationship during an episode of ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11.’ She revealed, “During the lockdown, no matches were happening, and all the cricketers were sitting at home and getting frustrated. During that time, Yuzi decided one fine day that he wanted to learn dance. He had seen my dance videos on social media… he approached me to be my student. I agreed to teach him.” What began as a professional relationship between a teacher and her student blossomed into a romantic partnership.
Being a dedicated student and a supportive husband, back in 2022, Yuzvendra Chahal, along with England cricketer Jos Buttler, delighted fans by dancing to Dhanashree Verma’s song ‘Balle Ni Balle.’ The video, shared on Instagram, showed the two cricketers dressed in their then IPL team jerseys performing the hook step of the song with remarkable synchronization. The post quickly went viral, amassing over a million views. Dhanashree captioned the video, “Jos & Yuzi. Together. Dancing to Balle ni Balle. Is this the best collab of the season?”
The video also garnered praise from actor Aparshakti Khurana, who sang the song and commented, “Hahahahaha bestttt reeeel so far (sic),” while Dhanashree herself called it her “most favorite reel.” Fans had also flooded the comments section with appreciation for the duo’s infectious energy and camaraderie.
Coming back to recent updates on Dhanashree-Chahal’s relationship, although the couple has not officially confirmed anything, both of them have posted cryptic posts on social media fueling these divorce rumors. Recently, Yuzi was linked to RJ Mahvash after being spotted with her during a Champions Trophy final. Shortly after this, Dhanashree posted a cryptic message on Instagram stating, “Blaming women is always in fashion.” The post appeared to address the backlash she had earlier faced following news of her divorce and alleged alimony demands.
