When Saif Ali Khan was attacked in a Delhi nightclub over a dance refusal

Saif Ali Khan recently survived a harrowing home invasion where he was stabbed multiple times while protecting his family. Throwback to the time when the actor faced a violent incident from his past in a nightclub attack in Delhi during the 90s.
Years ago, after the premiere of ‘Tu Khiladi Mai Anari,’ the actor went clubbing in Delhi, where he was attacked. In a throwback interview with Lehren, Khan explained that the altercation began after he refused to dance with a girl, and her boyfriend confronted him.
According to Khan, he was approached by two women who repeatedly asked him to dance. After some time, Khan asked them to leave him and his friends alone and told their boyfriends to take care of them. One of the boyfriends did not like this.
The boyfriend told him, “You have a million-dollar face, and I am going to spoil it. Aapka chehra bahut acha hai aur mai usko bigaadne waala hoon aur yahaan maar diya”. (You have a million-dollar face, and I am going to spoil it). The man then punched him.
But when asked why he didn’t file a complaint regarding the same, Saif said he didn’t want to give any publicity to the incident. In the same clip, Saif also addressed the fact that he did not start the fight, and if something like that is published, he can explain what exactly happened.
Years later, on Neha Dhupia’s show ‘No Filter Neha,’ Khan provided more details, explaining that he was hit with a whisky glass on his forehead. “So this is an unfortunate incident where a guy said, ‘Please dance with my girlfriend,’ and I was like, ‘I don’t want to do that,’ and he said, ‘You’ve got a million-dollar face’… and then he said, ‘I’m going to F it up for you,’ and then he hit me with a whisky glass on my forehead, and then we got into a fight.”.

Khan also revealed that he was then attacked with a soap dish in the bathroom. “So, there was a flood of blood; I thought, I don’t know what’s happened, so I was wiping it with water. I looked at him and said, ‘Look what you did,’ as in, Let’s make up now, and he attacked me with the soap dish. So, he was a lunatic, and he might have killed me,” Khan said.
Despite the severity of the attack, Khan chose not to file a complaint, explaining that he “didn’t want to draw unnecessary attention to it.”. He also clarified that he did not start the fight.
