The Indian team is currently participating in the ICC Champions and have achieved their first objective of reaching the semifinals, booking the spot in the last-four with wins over Bangladesh and Pakistan.
India defeated Bangladesh by six wickets and Pakistan by a similar margin.
The 2013 winners’ concluding group-stage fixture will see them take on New Zealand, who have booked the other semifinal spot from Group A. The result will decide which team finishes on the top of the group.
Bangladesh and hosts Pakistan have been eliminated, leaving India the only Asian team in the fray for the top prize.
