The over concluded with Seifert hitting two more sixes off the final deliveries. His aggressive batting helped New Zealand accumulate 26 runs from that over, with four sixes in total.
The match was shortened to 15 overs per side due to rain. Pakistan managed to score 135 runs, with contributions from Afridi, Agha Salman, and Shadab Khan.
New Zealand’s strong start came through Seifert and Finn Allen’s explosive batting. Despite losing three wickets in a gap of 10 runs, and Daryl Mitchell near the finish line, the hosts romped to a 5-wicket win to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
