Watch: Donald Trump buys red Tesla Model S from Elon Musk, says he wants no discount
Donald Trump buys Tesla S Tuesday afternoon in a show of support for Elon Musk.

As promised, US President Donald Trump Tuesday bought a Tesla car (Model S) from Elon Musk after Musk lined up a few Teslas in front of the White House for the President to choose. Trump even went behind the wheels and Musk showed him the inside of the car. Elon Musk’s son X pranced as Donald Trump took questions from the reporters and Elon Musk waited for him.
Donald Trump’s decision to purchase one Tesla for the full price came as a show of support as Musk has been drowned in criticism, legal battles and Tesla has been at the receiving end, Tesla vehicles came under attack as Elon Muk received criticism for his role as the cost cutter in the government.
Trump said Democrats were trying to “illegally and collusively boycott Tesla … in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for”. He said he would buy a brand new Tesla as Tesla shares plummeted Monday.
Trump viewed five Tesla cars including a Cybertruck, and exclaimed at how beautiful the car is and how everything is computer. He said the car would be for his staff at the White House as he is not allowed to drive on public roads.
The Model S Plaid has a 0-60 of 1.99 seconds and has 350 miles of range. It costs $94,990. Trump said he does not want any discount and he would pay in check in old fashion.
“To Republicans, Conservatives, and all great Americans, Elon Musk is “putting it on the line” in order to help our Nation, and he is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! But the Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World’s great automakers, and Elon’s “baby,” in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for. They tried to do it to me at the 2024 Presidential Ballot Box, but how did that work out? In any event, I’m going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence and support for Elon Musk, a truly great American. Why should he be punished for putting his tremendous skills to work in order to help MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN???” Trump posted on Truth Social announcing his support to Elon Musk.
