Lucknow Super Giants bowler Akash Singh brought out the notebook in the absence of the suspended Digvesh Rathi in the match against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday.WithRathi serving a one match ban, Akash celebrated the wicket of Jos Buttler with the spinner’s trademark style of signing a notebook in the air.In the 10th over of GT’s chase, Akash bowled a brilliant slower ball to catch Buttler off guard. Akash came round the wicket and the slower ball saw Buttler get too early into the push towards long-off. It created a big gap between bat and pad with the ball clattering into the middle and leg stumps.He then got the notebook signing celebrations out with a big smile and pointed to someone in the dug out, possibly to Rathi.Earlier Akash had to go off the field because his hand was bleeding while trying to stop the ball. Besides earning two demerit points, he was also fined 50 per cent of his match fees. It was his third offence of the IPL 2025 season.
