The incident took place on Saturday on the Mehkar-Pandharpur highway in Dindrud when the trio assaulted and abducted the waiter over an unpaid bill.

In a shocking incident, three men allegedly thrashed and dragged a waiter of an eatery for around a kilometre by car after the latter asked them to pay the food bill in Maharashtra’s Beed district.

The incident took place on Saturday on the Mehkar-Pandharpur highway in Dindrud when the trio allegedly assaulted and abducted the waiter over an unpaid bill. A video of the incident of men leaving without paying and assaulting the waiter was captured on CCTV. The video has gone viral among the netizens on social media.

The trio, Sakharam Janardan Munde and his two companions dined at a dhaba (hotel), after which they asked the waiter to bring the QR code scanner for online payment, reported News18 Marathi. However, instead of paying, they allegedly fled to their vehicle.

When the waiter, Sheikh Sahil Anusuddin, approached them for the payment, they got aggressive and started arguing and assaulting him. They further dragged him alongside their vehicle for about a kilometre and physically assaulted him.

The accused also stole ₹11,500 from his pocket, blindfolded him, thrashed him and took him to an unknown location, where he was held captive overnight. The waiter was released the following morning in Dharur Taluka.
