Gill has extended his lead at the top to 47 rating points. Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam remains in second position despite his recent struggles at the Champions Trophy.
Among the ODI batters, Kohli is the only player at the Champions Trophy to make progress within the top 10. However, several players outside the top 10 have made significant advances in the latest ICC rankings update.
Will Young has moved up eight spots to 14th position. Ben Duckett has climbed 27 places to share the 17th position, while Rachin Ravindra has advanced 18 positions to 24th place following their centuries at the tournament.
India’s KL Rahul has moved up two places to 15th, and South African Rassie van der Dussen has gained three positions to reach 16th place.
Sri Lankan spinner Maheesh Theekshana continues to lead the ODI bowling rankings, despite Sri Lanka’s absence from the Champions Trophy. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan remains his closest competitor in second place.
Several bowlers have made progress in the top 10 rankings. South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj has moved up one place to share fourth position. New Zealand’s Matt Henry has advanced two spots to sixth, and Australia’s Adam Zampa has climbed two positions to reach 10th place.
South African pacer Kagiso Rabada has improved his position by four spots to 16th place. New Zealand’s Michael Bracewell has made a significant jump of 31 places to reach 26th position in the bowling rankings.
Bracewell has also improved his position in the ODI all-rounders list, moving up 26 places to 11th following his four-wicket performance against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi at the Champions Trophy.
New Zealand’s Ravindra has climbed six positions to 15th in the all-rounders category. Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi continues to maintain his position at the top of the all-rounders rankings.
