Virat Kohli climbs to No. 4 in latest ODI rankings; Shubman Gill, Babar Azam hold top spots

NEW DELHI: Indian cricket team’s batting maestro Virat Kohli has once again displayed his acumen by climbing up the ICC ODI rankings for batters.
His match-winning knock of 84 against Australia in the Champions Trophy semifinal propelled him to the fourth position, a testament to his consistent and exceptional performances.
While Kohli’s ascent is a cause for celebration, it also coincided with Indian skipper Rohit Sharma’s descent, dropping two spots to fifth place.

South Africa’s Heinrich Klaasen also made a notable move, rising one position to claim the third spot in the rankings.
India’s vice-captain and opening batsman, Shubman Gill, continues to hold the coveted top spot, followed closely by Pakistan’s Babar Azam in second place.
Among other Indian players, spin bowling all-rounder Axar Patel and pacer Mohammed Shami have also made significant strides in their respective rankings.
