This cutting-edge technology is designed to automate constellation management and planning, optimizing the scheduling and secure data transport of space vehicles within constellation networks.
The MMO solution addresses the complexities of proliferated low Earth orbit (LEO) constellations, which demand sophisticated operational capabilities for effective vehicle orchestration, planning, and mission execution. Viasat’s MMO software generates operational schedules for each satellite in a constellation, evaluating mission performance globally while considering the unique constraints and capabilities of each satellite. This system ensures coordinated and secure constellation schedules by enabling simultaneous searches for each satellite’s schedule to fulfill operational tasks.
The MMO is designed to support autonomous, responsive, and cooperative operations, significantly reducing the workload on ground operators. This innovative approach allows for direct command specifications to each vehicle involved, facilitating smoother and more efficient mission planning and execution.
