Varun Dhawan to start shooting for father David Dhawan’s film next month
Earlier, Pinkvilla has reported that the film has been titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. Varun Dhawan will also be seen in Citadel Honey Bunny with Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
Varun Dhawan is currently one of the most busy actors. He has many films lined up in his kitty-Baby John to Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Recently, his web series Citadel Honey Bunny trailer has been released and is getting an overwhelming response. Amid this, a report is coming in that he will be starting the Goa schedule of his father David Dhawan’s romantic comedy in November. The film has been tentatively titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.
Mid-day has quoted a source saying, “The second leg will begin in Goa on November 6. By then, Varun would have wrapped his promotion commitments for the Prime Video series. After the Goa schedule, David has charted out a month-long stint in Mumbai. A set will be erected at Mehboob Studios where they will film till mid-December.” An extensive foreign schedule is also being planned for early next year, but the details are yet to be finalised.
Earlier, Pinkvilla has reported that Ramesh Taurani’s production had been titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. “It’s a quirky title in sync with the world that David Dhawan is looking to create with Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Sreelela. It’s a fun family entertainer with the love triangle of the trio at the centre. David Dhawan has cracked a concept that’s fresh and original, and is confident to recreate the magic of comedies on the big screen again,” revealed a source.
“Much like all David Dhawan comedies, this one is also a love triangle where the humour is a result of confusion in leading man’s life. The team has roped in Sreeleela to play Varun’s love interest in the film. It’s a pakka-commercial entertainer and Sreeleela also feels that this would be the perfect launch pad for her in Hindi markets,” the portal added.
On the work front, Varun Dhawan will also be seen in Citadel with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Directed by Raj and DK, Citadel is the Indian adaptation of the International series of the same name which was created by the director duo, the Russo Brothers. The series will begin on November 7.
