US forces conducted precision airstrike against a member of Al-Qaeda in Syria: Trump

US military launched precision airstrike in Syria and killed a member of an Al-Qaeda affiliate organization
In a social media post on Truth social, US President Donald Trump congratulated Centcom and said that US warfighters dealt Justice to another Jihadi threatening America and its allies and partners.
“US forces conducted a precision airstrike against a member of al-Qaeda in Syria this weekend. The terrorist leader was working with al-Qaeda across the region. Congratulations to CENTCOM Commander Gen. Michael Kurilla, and the US warfighters who dealt Justice to another Jihadi threatening America and our allies and partners,” Trump said.
According to US Central Command, it conducted the strike on Saturday in Northwest Syria targeting and killing a senior finance and logistics official in the terrorist organization Hurras al-Din (HaD), an Al-Qaeda affiliate.
The strike was conducted “to disrupt and degrade efforts by terrorists to plan, organize, and conduct attacks against civilians and military personnel” from the United States and allies, the statement continued.
This comes after Centcom killed another senior operative in Hurras al-Din, Muhammad Salah al-Zabir, in an air strike on January 30.
The United States designated Hurras al-Din as a “terrorist” organisation in 2019 and has offered financial rewards for information on several of its members.
“We will continue to relentlessly pursue terrorists in order to defend our homeland, and US, allied, and partner personnel in the region,” CENTCOM General Michael Erik Kurilla said in a statement.
