TOI Shevolution: All women-panel empowers next generation of leaders

All women panel on Thursday discussed independent women, and women as changemakers in education, business, and society.
At the TOI‘s Shevolution event, the panel navigates challenges and opportunities in the modern era and empowers the next generation of women leaders.
The panel includes Ira Trivedi, an Yoga Expert & Author, Dr Ishi Khosla, Founder of Whole Foods India and Celiac Society Of India and Sanchita Mukherjee, Business Economist l Managing Partner.
Talking about the women entrepreneur and independent women, Ira Trivedi said that women as leader is difficult because of the shadow of patriarchy but still they make better leaders, because there is more sympathy, better way too deal with people.
She also mentioned the President and said that there is a woman o higher position and now the women are breaking the old gender barrier.
Discussing about the same Dr Ishi Khosla said that women are inheriently powerful, more stronger and are more resilient and more smarter than many.
” I think the problem is that people sometime undermine our strengths. We are made to beleieve that we are not just up there and we need to be supported and we are not as smart be it any profession, or managing finance or anyother male dominated aeas where we are conditioned to believe that this is male world or domain. But I personally believe anybody who is undermining our strenghth can be handled by us. We can handle anything. Women need to think themselves important and self care,” she said.
Meanwhile, Sanchita Mukherjee said, “Women in leadership for me I have been in the financial industry my entire career. I have been a private banker now in wealth management. We pay our own bills. And the day you start taking the steering wheels of your car is a day you start taking the steering wheel of your life. And you start paying your own bills.”
