Three killed, two injured in car-tipper collision near Asgarpur village

Yamunanagar: Three young men lost their lives and two others were seriously injured in a tragic road accident late last night when their car collided with a tipper truck on the Sadhaura–Kala Amb road near Asgarpur village in Yamunanagar district on Tuesday late night.
The deceased have been identified as Atul (22) and Vishal (24), both residents of Chamba, Himachal Pradesh (HP), and Aniket from Haripurdhar, HP. The injured, Mohinder (30) and Praveen (22), also residents of Haripurdhar, are currently undergoing treatment.
According to a statement given to police by Anish, a resident of Chamba, he and his elder brother Atul were pursuing BBA and B.Pharmacy, respectively, from a college in Kala Amb. Anish stated that Atul and his friends—Praveen, Vishal, Mohinder, and AniketKala—were returning to Kala Amb from Sadhaura in a car when the incident occurred.
He said that as their vehicle approached Asgarpur village, a tipper truck traveling ahead of them suddenly applied brakes. Unable to stop in time, their car rammed into the rear of the tipper. All five occupants sustained serious injuries in the collision.
They were first rushed to the Community Health Centre in Sadhaura and later referred to Civil Hospital, Jagadhri. There, Atul, Vishal, and Aniket were declared dead, while Praveen and Mohinder were referred to PGI Chandigarh for advanced treatment.
Sadhaura SHO Amit Kumar confirmed that a case has been registered against the unidentified driver of the tipper at Sadhaura Police Station.
