Thandel Box Office Collection Day 10: Naga Chaitanya scores his first Rs 100 crore movie worldwide, it also stars Sai Pallavi

Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi starrer ‘Thandel’ had released on February 7. The film has turned out to be the biggest hit of Chay’s career. Within the span of 10 days now, the movie has crossed Rs 100 crore gross worldwide. This is Chaitanya’s first Rs 100 crore movie. ‘Thandel’ released in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, but the Telugu version has done the best business.
The film directed by Chandoo Mondeti has made around ₹ 3.25 crore on its second Sunday. Thus, the total collection of the film so far in India is ₹ 57.20 crore. Meanwhile, the worldwide collection of the movie has now crossed Rs 100 crore.
It has a similar trend which was seen in Ram Charan’s ‘Game Changer’, however, ‘Thandel’ is a film made on a very moderate budget as compared to the S Shankar directorial.

‘Thandel’ is based on a real-life incident that occurred in 2018 about fishermen from Srikakulam who accidentally drifted into Pakistani waters during a fishing trip to Gujarat. But in its essence, it is also a deep love story between Chay and Sai’s characters.
During a chat with ETimes, Chaitanya had spoken about the film as he said, “Genuine love has a lot of pain in it. When you live through this pain and come out of it, it bonds the relationship in a very different manner. So, you will go through this whole journey in the film.”
