The picture features RRR’s director SS Rajamouli, music composer MM Keeravaani, lyricist Chandrabose and Prem Rakshith. Oh, and, not to miss – the Oscar trophies. The frame perfectly captures their joy.  Along with the pic, the ace choreographer wrote, “Million dollar picture, The unforgettable day in my life with the happy faces of my favourites…” The photo became an instant hit on social media. Fans have flooded the comments section with fire and red heart emojis. Naatu Naatu, the electrifying track from SS Rajamouli’s RRR, won an Oscar in the Best Original Song category earlier this week. The other tracks nominated in this category included Lady Gaga’s Hold My Hand, Rihanna’s Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Diane Warren’s Applause from Tell It Like A Woman and Mitski and David Byrne’s This Is A Life from Everything Everywhere All at Once.

After Naatu Naatu’s Oscar glory,Ram Charan, who along with Jr NTR featured in the song, expressed his gratitude to fans and well-wishers for all the love and support. He said, “Naatu Naatu has become a global phenomenon and proof that a great story, as well as a great song, can transcend language and borders. This song is no longer our song. Naatu Naatu belongs to the public and the people of every age and culture who have embraced it.”

He added, “RRR is and will always remain as the most special film of our lives and of Indian Cinema history. I can’t thank everyone enough for manifesting the Oscar Award. It still feels like I am living in a dream. Thank you all for the unstoppable support and love. SS Rajamouli garu and MM Keeravani garu are the most precious gems of our Indian film industry. Thank you both for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this masterpiece. Naatu Naatu is an emotion across the globe. Thank you lyricist Chandrabose garu, singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, and choreographer Prem Rakshith for bringing together this emotion.”

Guneet Monga’s The Elephant Whisperers won an Oscar at the 95th Academy Award in Best Documentary Short Subject category.
