We got a glimpse into Swift and Kelce’s date night via WAG-bestie Brittany Mahomes, who posted a picture to Instagram with the superstar couple and her husband, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The two couples were seen out in Amsterdam cuddled up after the last show of Swift’s Amsterdam Eras tour dates.
And while the internet is always excited to see Kelce and Swift out in public, showing off their shiny, love-filled relationship, what us fashion girls were even more excited to notice was the purple croc-embossed Josephine Heart Crossbody from the legendary designer, Vivienne Westwood. Swift went full Westwood on her date night finishing the look with a tartan wool corset and powder blue Sunday dress from Westwood.
The heart shape is a Vivienne Westwood signature style of the brand. It’s been featured throughout the years in several collections — from varying types of artworks to political prints, the bag has seen many iterations and musings. Vivienne Westwood often is referred to as one of the fashion houses that were synonymous to the punk and grunge movements. They were a brand for the sartorially rebellious — people who weren’t afraid to be seen. Hence, the heart bag has become an emblem of that same style and is the reason we immediately clocked it on Swift’s wrist.
