Shah, an Uzbekistan native, arrived at Courtallam, Tamil Nadu first time in 2019. In a conversation with Local 18 Tamil Nadu, she said that Courtallam is her favourite tourist spot. She likes it as it is surrounded by nature and situated in a rural backdrop with waterfalls. The Uzbekistan native said that she has also a liking for this place due to the Durian fruit. Durian is called the king of all fruits. According to her, she has travelled to Southeast Asian countries including Malaysia, Bali, the Philippines, etc in search of durian fruit. Her search ended when she came to Courtallam, Tamil Nadu.

Shah said that many people don’t like the taste and aroma of the durian fruit. She is quite fond of it and can not think of any other fruit as bigger than the durian fruit. The Uzbek lady said that she came to know that this fruit has more nutrients in comparison to the others, she searched for it everywhere. Now, when Shah has found it, she enjoys eating it. The lady said that her search for the durian fruit started when she had arrived in Delhi. She revealed that the people in Delhi have purchased this fruit from Thailand.

According to her, Durian fruit is very rare to find and you should come to Courtallam and taste it at least once. Talking about her passion for travelling, Shah said,” “I love to travel to many places, meet the locals and try their food. Therefore, I often travel to many countries. This time when I came to Courtallam, I tasted the local jackfruit (Duran). I like it very much, its taste is amazing”. Shah further said that she will complete her studies at Delhi University in 2023. According to the Uzbekistan native, travelling has helped her learn a lot of languages.

Shah said that she likes India very much and has covered Punjab, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala, etc. Now, she has arrived in Courtallam and this has become one of her favourite places in Tamil Nadu. This Uzbek lady said that she would like to spend some more time here.
