The Tamil-language action thriller Garudan, released worldwide on May 31, was a big hit at the box office. After much anticipation, the film has now finally made its OTT debut. Gaudan is currently streaming on the popular OTT platform Prime Video.
Recently, the official streaming site took to social media platforms and announced its Prime Day lineup, writing, “Epic Entertainment Marathon is incoming; the full #PrimeDay lineup is here.” Garudan started streaming on Prime Video on July 3, in Tamil with English subtitles added to it. The village drama Garudan stars Soori, Sasikumar, Unni Mukundan, Samuthiraikani and Shivada Nair in lead roles. It also features Roshini Haripriyan, Sshivada, Revathi Sharma, Samuthirakani, Vadivukkarasi, R. V. Udayakumar and Mime Gopi in supporting roles.
This action thriller film is written and directed by R. S. Durai Senthilkumar, from a root story by Vetrimaaran. It is jointly produced by Vetrimaaran’s Grass Root Film Company and K. Kumar’s Lark Studios.
The music for the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the cinematography is handled by Arthur A. Wilson and the editing is done by Pradeep E. Ragav.
Soori is currently busy with the preparation for the release of Viduthalai 2, the sequel to his cult classic thriller Viduthalai: Part 1. The movie stars Soori, Bhavani Sre, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Ilavarasu and many more, in addition to Vijay Sethupathi and Manju Warrier.
Viduthalai Part 2 has been produced by Elred Kumar and Vetrimaaran via their respective companies, RS Infotainment and Grass Root Film Company.
On the other hand, Unni Mukundan is preparing for his high-octane thriller titled Marco, helmed by Haneef Adeni and produced by Shareef Muhammed and Abdul Ghadaf under the banner of Cubes International. Apart from Unni Mukundan, the film will also star Kabir Duhan Singh, Yukti Thareja, Siddique, Jagadish, Anson Paul, Mathew Varghese and Ajit Koshy in some of the important roles in the film. The film’s music is composed by Ravi Basrur.
As per the latest reports, Marco is said to be the first Malayalam film to be shot in Greece. The film will also be released simultaneously in multiple languages. Even though the plot details of Marco have been kept under wraps, The first look confirms that the audience can expect an action figure from Unni Mukundan.
