Taapsee Pannu once again reacts to Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel calling her 'sasti copy': 'I can never say such things about any woman'

Taapsee Pannu has once again displayed her composure and grace when addressing past criticisms, choosing dignity over retaliation. Years after being called a “sasti copy” by Kangana Ranaut’s sister, Rangoli Chandel, Taapsee has maintained her stance of not demeaning others, even when provoked.
In a recent conversation with ABP News, the actress reflected on the old controversy, expressing her perspective with humility. “Maybe I am ‘sasti’ because I don’t get paid as much as Kangana Ranaut. If being called a copy of such a talented actress is the case, I am okay with it,” Taapsee stated.
She further highlighted that the kind of words a person uses reflects their upbringing, and the way a person speaks defines their personality. “I can never say such things about any woman who has carved her own journey,” she added.

Beyond addressing past remarks, Taapsee took the opportunity to spotlight critical issues within the film industry. Speaking about persistent biases in Bollywood, she voiced her concerns about the way women-centric films are often treated unfairly. She emphasised the need to change the mindset that female-led films won’t perform well in theatres, highlighting how people often receive lower budgets and limited theatrical releases for such movies.

Taapsee emphasised the importance of giving such films the same respect and resources as any other mainstream project. “I hope this perception shifts because there are people who truly have the passion to make a difference,” she added.
The actress also spoke about the increasing influence of social media metrics on casting decisions and brand endorsements. She believes that one should only be judged by their talent, not their social media presence. She wants makers to give importance to personality and talent rather than the number of social media followers.
