JYP Entertainment announced the launch date of their upcoming boy group named KickFlip, consisting of a total of 7 members.
JYP Entertainment, known for managing popular K-pop groups like Stray Kids, TWICE and ITZY, is all set to launch a new boy group in early 2025. As per K-media reports, the boy group named KickFlip will consist of members chosen from the SBS audition program LOUD, which was aired in 2021. At that time, LOUD was a high-stakes boy group selection show with talented trainees competing for a spot in JYP Entertainment’s debut team. The group has already made an official social media entrance, revealing their debut date.
On Friday, November 22, KickFlip officially shared its debut date, marking it on January 1, 2025, with a band poster showing a total of seven members. Believed to share former contestants from LOUD, the members are likely to include the likes of Gyehun, Donghyeon, Keiju and Amaru. “JYP NEXT BOY GROUP “KickFlip.” 2025. 01. 01 0AM (KST) Coming Soon,” the group’s debut post read.

JYP reportedly registered the boy group on the basis of certain trademarks earlier this year, even sparking a fresh discussion among fans. Many wondered if the group’s official line-up was partially decided during the 2021 survival show. All the members of KickFlip have been hand-chosen by J.Y. Park, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, stated an Allkpop report. He has been also overseeing the group’s cultivation and growth since the selection through LOUD.
Considering JYP’s January date for launching a new group, it would come shortly after the year-end events. Previous reports suggested that the company has been planning to launch KickFlip in December this year.
JYP’s upcoming lineup for 2025 also includes the debut of a new boy group in China, a new Latin girl group, and the launch of new artists across various genres. JY Park is said to be working on discovering new talent through the KBS audition program, The DDANDDARA, which premiered earlier this month.
