After a brief tease last week, Lucasfilm and Disney have lifted the lid on the next live-action Star Wars TV series, Skeleton Crew, and its ragtag crew of adventurous kids.
Set during the era of the New Republic—approximately around the same time of the events of The Mandalorian, given the return of season three’s Nikto space pirate Vane (Marti Matulis)—the series follows a group of young friends as they find themselves thrust into adventure across the galaxy after finding a mysterious ship on their home planet. Teaming up with the similarly mysterious Force sensitive Jod Na Nawood (Jude Law), as well as a rusty old droid SM-33 (Nick Frost) aboard that ship, the Onyx Cinder, the kids find themselves racing to find a way to get back home safe.
Starring Ravi Cabot-Conyers as Wim, Kyriana Kratter as KB, Robert Timothy Smith as the young Ortolan Neel, and Ryan Kiera Armstrong as Fern, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew begins streaming on Disney+ from December 3. Stay tuned to io9 for more news out of D23!
