Sooooo, J.D. Vance Said He “Creates Stories” For Media To Focus On, And People Have THOUGHTS

Republican vice presidential candidate, Senator J.D. Vance was doing his rounds on the Sunday morning political shows, when he made an interesting admission. And yes, it’s about his and Donald Trump’s baseless claim that Haitian immigrants are eating pets in Springfield, Ohio.

Vance said that the “American media” ignored Springfield, “until Donald Trump and I started surfacing some of these concerns.”

Bash, referencing her notes, starts to fact-check some of the senator’s claims. She tells him, “The Clark County Sheriff and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources reviewed 11 months of 911 calls. They only identified two instances of people alleging Haitians were taking geese out of parks. They found zero evidence to substantiate those claims.”

After minutes of back-and-forth, and Vance suggesting Bash is a “democratic propagandist,” she asks him to, “once and for all…affirmatively now say that that is a rumor that has no basis with evidence?”

Let’s chat about all things 2024 Election

Vance insisted his evidence was firsthand information before admitting, “If I have to create stories so that the American media actually pays attention to the suffering of the American people, then that’s what I’m going to do, Dana. Because you guys are completely letting Kamala Harris coast.”

Bash repeated what he said before asking, “So the eating dogs and cats thing is not accurate?”

To which Vance replied, “I say that we’re creating a story, meaning we’re creating the American media focusing on it.”

The clip received swift backlash on social media. One person called the senator’s admission, “scare tactics.”
