TimesofIndia.com in Dubai: India vice-captain Shubman Gill has added another big brand to his already strong portfolio as the youngster will now sport an MRF sticker on his bat from the Champions Trophy semi-final game against Australia. When he walks out to bat, Gill will be joining an elite list of endorsers that also includes Virat Kohli and has a strong legacy.
It is understood that the formalities are completed and brings to end a long association the right-hander had with CEAT who signed him during his India U-19 days.
Gill’s brand game is bustling as the 25-year-old has deals in place with Nike, Mercedes, Dior, Coca Cola, Beats by Dre, Tata Capital, Bajaj Allianz, Casio and My11Circle. The deal with Apple, for their product Beats, was a first in the ecosystem as Gill became the first sportsperson from India to be their ambassador last year.

Already associated with many premium brands, Gill’s stocks are riding a bull run at the moment as even the advertisers have earmarked him as the face to invest in for the future.
The interest has only gone up since the right-hander was elevated to vice-captaincy in the series vs Sri Lanka last year and remained Rohit Sharma’s deputy for the ongoing Champions Trophy.

The aggressive interest from various brands comes at a time when his bat is breathing fire in the 50-over format. He has already hit a hundred in the Champions Trophy and looked dominant in the ODIs vs England, which preceded the multi-nation tournament.
The new MRF deal makes him a part of the thriving legacy for the tyre manufacturer with Kohli currently in the list and the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Steve Waugh, AB de Villiers, and Shikhar Dhawan sporting the red logo on their bat in the past.
